Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This role that will be based at a site in Chippenham.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Are you a skilled Network Architect with a passion for innovation and problem-solving? We're looking for an experienced professional to play a pivotal role in supporting our Defence client as they define and deliver their migration strategy.
What You'll Do:
As a Network Architect, you'll collaborate with a cross-functional team to enable migration goals, focusing on VMware environments. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Analysing Network Requirements: Assess the needs of systems to ensure a seamless transition.
2. Supporting the Lead Architect: Identify and address cross-cutting technical and business dependencies, such as networking, security, and access management.
3. Assessing Proposed Network Changes: Review 3rd-party migration plans and raise interconnectivity requests where needed.
4. Running Pilots: Define and test network changes to de-risk future migrations.
5. Validating Network Designs: Oversee network requirements and changes to enable secure and efficient data transfer.
6. Shaping Solutions: Make and guide architectural decisions while ensuring alignment with client goals.
Your Impact:
You'll be a key contributor to a wider programme supporting transformation by:
1. Enabling migration outcomes through expertise and phased delivery.
2. Building on lessons learned from test activities to improve strategies.
3. Informing current and future cloud roadmaps and transition environments.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
1. Strong experience in network architecture/engineering and systems integration.
2. Proven ability to lead and prioritize in complex environments.
3. Expertise in migration projects.
4. Exceptional skills in requirements analysis and solution delivery.
Desired Competencies:
1. Familiarity with Defence operations.
2. Knowledge of DevSecOps practices.
