About the team
Are you an experienced access management professional looking for a new challenge? Our Systems Administration team in Wolverhampton is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to play a vital role in providing high-quality administration, user-access and system configuration services to our organization. You'll have the opportunity to arrange and conduct system audits, participate in project meetings, and lead the team towards its objectives. This role is a FTC for 12 months and can be based at either our Wolverhampton or Chatham site.

What you will be doing
You will oversee the administration of a number of critical systems and areas on behalf of the business. The Senior Systems Administrator is accountable for the provision of high-quality administration, user-access and configuration services related to relevant business areas and key business applications.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Manage the team of System Administrators on a day-to-day basis, including task allocation, rota management and all aspects of personal development.
* Provide advice and guidance to the business at ‘second line’ level for a range of critical business systems, including providing support for all Incidents and Service Requests relating to Systems Administration.
* Design and maintain tailored documentation for the supported systems where appropriate, including, but not limited to, guidance around installation procedures, configuration, system rules etc.
* Configure, maintain and set up all core applications as defined within each Service Level Agreement – including role-based user set up, access permissions and user re-certification.
* Act as an escalation point for the System Administrators, assisting in the triage of Major Incidents as needed and undertaking the onward escalation of more complex issues to the appropriate subject matter experts.
* Ensure that the Systems Administration assignment group is meeting the defined Service Level Agreements for all areas supported by the team.
In return for your commitment
We offer a base salary dependent on experience of between £34,000 - £40,000 and a competitive benefits package including:

* Previous experience of managing a team.
* Previous Systems Administration experience, particularly in the areas of role-based access.
* Previous experience of IT Service Management in an ITIL v3 or v4 environment.
