The post centres round supporting research in respiratory medicine and will be based mostly at the Sir William Leech Centre for Respiratory Research, Freeman Hospital though covering studies within the wider Trust such as Royal Victoria Hospital site may be needed. The role requires flexible working and is less than full time. The work pattern can be negotiated for the right candidate but is likely to be 2 programmed activities (2PAs) per week. This post is commence as soon as possible for 12 months. Additional duties will include answering data queries, attending site initiation visits, training in our open studies and explaining studies / taking consent. Successful applicants must have essential skills including sound knowledge of Good clinical practice (GCP) for clinical trials and ideally certification of training in this from NIHR or equivalent. The role will involve supervision and support to the respiratory research team and may involve attending research participant visits, attending site initiation visits and monitoring visits.
