Teaching Responsibilities:
* Develop, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to the diverse needs of students, focusing specifically on Year 2 curriculum requirements and learning objectives.
* Employ effective teaching strategies to engage and inspire students, ensuring that academic goals are met.
* Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing consistent feedback and setting Year 2 improvement targets.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create curriculum materials that enhance learning experiences and share best practices for Year 2 education.
* Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respectful behaviour and positive relationships among Year 2 students.
* Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to provide updates on Year 2 student progress and address any concerns specific to Year 2.
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and other school activities as required, with a focus on Year 2 educational strategies.
Requirements:
* Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Proven experience teaching Year 2 students in a primary school setting.
* Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
* Dedication to ongoing professional development and a commitment to staying up to date with the latest educational practices.
* Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
