Job Title: Commercial Analyst
Location: Halesowen, Birmingham
Salary: up to £35,000
Job Purpose
The Commercial Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the funding levels received for packages of care are financially sustainable. This role is part of a team that consistently reviews funding levels in line with imposed cost pressures each year such as pay, national insurance and inflation, with a view to ensuring the funding received is adequate for the provision of care.
The role is within a large social care provider group, operating five main divisions generating a turnover in excess of £300m.
Key Responsibilities
⦁ Supporting in the annual fee uplift process by completing customer costing templates and communicating with external customers.
⦁ Visit services to understand all aspects of our business in order to facilitate conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
⦁ Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence and assisting in producing reports to circulate to the wider business.
⦁ Ensure fees are recorded accurately in a timely manner.
⦁ Support on low fee review processes to ensure all historical packages are sustainable.
⦁ Help to flag and identify any areas of concern in relation to fees and costings to wider members of the finance teams.
⦁ Work with billing colleagues to ensure that any fee uplifts, new fees or changes to packages are updated accordingly.
⦁ Having oversight of the recording of fees on an internal system, the Link.
⦁ Any ad hoc tasks to drive commercial improvements.
⦁ Support the wider Commercial Finance team to progress own personal development.
⦁ Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
⦁ High level of integrity, drive to make a difference and natural collaborator.
⦁ Strong commercial acumen.
⦁ Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel.
⦁ Strong organisational skills, ensuring deadlines are adhered to and reporting is accurately updated.
⦁ Ability to work as part as a team and to offer support when necessary.
⦁ Experience working in fast-paced environment.
⦁ Working towards a professional financial qualification - AAT or CIMA preferrable, or to have 2 years’ experience in a previous role.
