Business Support Officer - Housing This is a part-time (18.5 Hours per week) business support role based within the Housing Options Team, it is a small team of two officers who will be responsible for raising purchase order numbers, processing payments, chasing payment and cross referencing financial reports to reconcile accounts. Applicants will be required to ensure compliance with financial policies. procedures and regulatory requirements. They will also have an eye for service improvements and efficiencies to ensure best value for money is attained. As a small team the officers must be able to build rapport, and good communications for good quality hand over as both officers will be part time and full service commitment must be maintained for holiday cover. Initially there will be a requirement to attend the Crewe office but in time the role will become primarily homebased with the requirement to attend the office no more than 50% of the time. The hours and days worked can be flexible around the applicant, although the preference would be someone who could work short days every day of the week. Whilst the primary office base will be Crewe applicants will need to have the flexibility to travel around the borough for meetings. About you A strong knowledge of purchase ledger processes, procedures and best practices would be beneficial. The successful applicant will understand credit control or or have a strong general accountancy administration background.
