Real-time 3D Artist We are looking for a talented Real-time 3D Artist with strong experience in Unreal Engine to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in real-time asset production, including hard surface modeling, texturing, and unwrapping, with a confident understanding of Unreal Engine’s asset pipeline, world-building, shaders, and lighting. Full-time · Remote · Must be UK-based Responsibilities Create realistic, high-quality assets for real-time and VR projects. Work under art direction with a focus on realism and optimization. Integrate assets into Unreal Engine, ensuring performance efficiency and high visual fidelity. Set up materials and shaders within Unreal Engine, including PBR workflows and advanced shader techniques. Work with Unreal Engine’s lighting and rendering tools to enhance scene realism. Follow project specifications and provide constructive critique to improve workflows. Skills Essential Experience with Unreal Engine (asset integration, world-building, shaders, lighting) with a strong desire to deepen and expand in-engine expertise. An eye for detail, realism, and scale, working from image references. Excellent hard surface modelling skills. Ability to create and optimise geometry for real-time applications. Proficient in Blender (or willing to learn). Efficient in UV mapping with multiple channels (for light mapping, tiling, and decal meshes). A portfolio demonstrating artistic and technical ability, with some experience in Unreal Engine. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Desirable Experience with modelling commercial aircraft interiors. Proficient with Substance Designer. Experience with Niagara particle effects in Unreal Engine. Experience with Perforce/version control. Experience in photogrammetry and asset reconstruction. Knowledge of Adobe Suite or equivalent. Experience in Engineering/Architectural Visualisation projects. Proficiency in organic modeling and sculpting.
