Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Cotgrave, Nottingham
Salary: £31,680 including Sleep ins
Shifts: Mon-Sun, including BH, 40 hours per week excluding sleeps
Desirable Qualifications: NVQ Level 4 Diploma for Residential Childcare or an equivalent.
Experience: 1 + Years in an Ofsted Children's Residential Home
UK Driving Licence: Required/Essential
The Home: A 4 Bed for YPs aged 7 to 17 on admission, specifically designed as a Therapeutic EBD Home.

The primary aim is to create a warm, nurturing environment that supports safety, growth, and development. Caregiving is influenced by the in-house therapists. The provider is a well-established regional provider with homes across Nottingham.
Accountability: Senior Residential Support Worker are directly accountable to the Deputy and Registered Manager.
Main Purpose of Job: In the absence of the Registered Manager and Deputy, the Senior Residential Support Worker will take responsibility for all administrative and childcare functions within the home. The main purpose is to ensure the smooth operation of the facility, making decisions aligned with the Registered Manager and Ofsted’s expectations, and promoting the philosophy and policies of the company.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Decision-Making: Discriminate effectively between deferred and immediate decisions, adhering to the standards set by the Registered Manager and Ofsted.
* Compliance: Be fully conversant with the company’s philosophy, policies, and procedures, respecting and maintaining the confidentiality of work.
* Child Care Practice: Supervise and guide staff, ensuring compliance with National Minimum Standards wider procedures. Contribute to the effective assessment, monitoring, planning, and evaluation of decisions.
* Leadership: Demonstrate good leadership and childcare practices, playing a significant role in the supervision of Key Workers.
* Safeguarding: Actively participate in Case Planning Meetings, LAC Reviews, PEP Meetings, and other relevant sessions. Compile written reports, seek the views of young people, and contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of their welfare.
* Administrative Tasks: Assist in ensuring accurate performance of administrative tasks, including specific delegated responsibilities and monitoring other staff members' administrative duties.
* Team Management: Contribute to staff team management, disseminating information, instructing outcomes of meetings to the staff team, and assisting the Registered Manager in staff development.
