An opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurses to work with the Trust's Occupational Health Team. This busy SEQOHS accredited department employs specialist nurses, registered nurses, Occupational Health physicians, counsellors, and administrative support staff, providing a service to employees of the trust and several small to medium workforces in the local community.
The hours are 37.5 hours a week, to be worked between Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm. The post-holder will be required to work at both the Castle Hill and Hull Royal Departments depending upon the needs of the Service.
Main duties of the job
As a registered nurse, the post-holder will undertake a wide range of work-related health assessments and procedures for employees of Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and the department's external clients. The role will involve:
1. Recruitment health screening
2. Health promotion
3. Administration of vaccines
4. Venepuncture
5. Health surveillance involving audiometry and lung function tests
6. Providing support to employees experiencing psychological difficulties
A comprehensive induction and training programme, along with professional support from experienced Occupational Health nurses, will be provided. Opportunities for ongoing personal and professional development will also be available.

Essential
* Good verbal, written, and listening skills
* Good IT skills
* Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and manage and organise own workload
* Able to produce excellent written records
Desirable
* An understanding of and interest in Occupational Health Nursing
* Good presentation skills
* Competent to carry out ECGs, audiometry, lung function tests, administration of vaccines, venepuncture
Education and qualification
Essential
* NMC Level 1 registration

* 2 years post-registration and recent experience working as a nurse
