We are embedding category management and innovative sourcing strategies and partnering with stakeholders to become a strategic enabler for the business. The Professional Services team is a key component of the transformation activity taking place across L&G. We are looking for a Sourcing Manager to join our team, who brings experience and knowledge, who can work flexibly, and who prioritise engagement and collaboration with our L&G colleagues to ensure great business partnering and to deliver the best outcomes. A typical working week is two days in an office (Hove or London) and three days at home, with occasional travel to our office in Cardiff and supplier sites. What you'll be doing: Managing Professional Services procurement/sourcing engagements across Advisory & Consultancy, Change, Digital and Tech Consultancy, Finance and Risk categories Lead and conduct Professional Services sourcing activities and negotiations for renewals, in-life negotiations and new supplier engagements ensuring relevant control and governance requirements are met, as demand dictates Collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive strategic procurement initiatives Support monitoring of adherence to established contracts and realisation of savings, collaborating with contract management and supplier relationship management (SRM) teams as required Actively identify and lead opportunities to drive value and improve performance of potential supply base while seeking to reduce cost and risk and improve performance and value. Supporting the development and implementation of procurement strategies Ensuring all contracting and commitment to spend is undertaken and governed in accordance with compliance with procurement policies and procedures Contributing to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and tools Providing guidance and support to junior team members Participating in the transformation and optimisation of supply spend
