Teacher of Food Technology – Rochdale – September
A dedicated and passionate Food Tech Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school near Rochdale, to join them teaching key stage 3 & 4 from September, on an ongoing basis likely to be until Easter 2025 on a full-time basis.
This position is open to ECTs as well as experienced teachers.
You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents’ evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. A key focus in the classroom is AfL which helps guide teaching, throughout the whole school.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Food Tech or connected subjects.
Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B. Ed, QTS, etc) in Food Tech
Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)
Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)
Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
