Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will be expected to act as the first point of contact, dealing with enquiries over the telephone and face to face.
As a Patient Admin Clerk-Registration, the ability to multi-task during busy periods is essential, as is a friendly and helpful nature with the ability to adhere to the Trust's strict confidentiality guidelines.

Job responsibilities
* To receive all incoming referrals including by generic email account.
* Register referrals on PAS system including registration of demographic details for new patients.
* Ensure referral letter is delivered to relevant consultant within 24 hours of receipt.
* Collect referrals once graded from Directorate locations, including fracture referrals from Emergency Department.
* Receive all incoming telephone enquiries and initiate prompt action wherever possible.
* Assist with any other duties as required.
* Any other clerical duties as delegated by the PSC Team leader or Service Manager.

Qualifications
Knowledge
* Computer literate, in particular use of MS Windows and Outlook
* Knowledge of PAS or similar systems
Skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to adapt to challenging and changing situations/demands and able to support colleagues through stressful situations
