Job Details
Thank you for your interest in the position of Senior Practitioner within Older People Social Work Service, which is part of Fife Health and Social Care Partnership. We deliver a significant range of delegated services for a population of around 370,000 across the Kingdom of Fife.
This 36-hour post is based within Brunton House, Cowdenbeath. We are looking for one Senior Practitioner to join our team to provide leadership, supervise/support staff development, assist the team manager with core operational tasks and be involved in delivering responsive assessments to the public.
The Person
We are looking for someone who:
* Is passionate, skilled, innovative, and people-centred.
* Has a high standard of written work able to demonstrate analysis or synthesis of complex information.
* Is confident in knowledge of legislative frameworks.
* Is a skilled communicator with an ability to show leadership in practice.
* Has experience of supervision/coaching/mentoring of colleagues.
* Has a sound knowledge of risk and is able to demonstrate enabling practice in relation to this.
* Ideally has experience of working with older people.
The essential qualifications for this post are:
You will be a qualified Social Worker (holding a BA (Hons) Social Work or MSc in Social Work) with extensive experience of working within statutory frameworks supporting adults in the community. You will hold an accredited post-qualifying award or be willing to work towards the award within the first 2 years of appointment.
If appointed, you must start your application for SSSC registration as soon as possible.
The ability to travel throughout Fife is a requirement.
