Our client, a well-established player in the distribution sector, is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee a small team of 2 on a part-time and permanent basis. Working with some well-known brands, they have an impressive client base and pride themselves on meeting SLAs when moving goods across the UK and Europe.
Description
Finance Manager duties include:
1. Leading the Finance Department, ensuring smooth daily operations and overseeing a team of 2.
2. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and legislations.
3. Preparing monthly management accounts, quarterly VAT returns, and coordinating tax/year-end auditing processes.
4. Managing financial risks of the company.
5. Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
6. Coordinating with external auditors and managing internal controls.
7. Development of financial policies and procedures.
8. Involvement with Payroll and HR-related duties.
Profile
The successful Finance Manager should have:
1. A degree in Accounting or a related field.
2. ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified or QBE.
3. Strong analytical, decision-making, and management skills.
4. Previous experience in distribution is advantageous.
5. Advanced Microsoft Excel ability.
Job Offer
1. A salary of £50,000 pro rata.
2. 25 hours per week, can be flexible to drop hours or pick up more.
