Your New Role:
Southend City Council are seeking to appoint an Application Support Analyst to join their Triage team on a full-time and permanent basis. This role is being offered on a hybrid working pattern which will be predominantly working from home with occasional visits to the office to attend meetings.
As an Application Support Analyst, you will provide first-line application support to customers, and you will respond to and resolve customer issues in relation to the Council’s business applications. You will provide technical assistance, application support, usage advice, and guidance to Council customers and third parties. You will ensure that Business Applications are available to the departments and working correctly, enabling council services to be delivered successfully.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
To be successful in this role, you need to possess the below skills/experience:
* Experience in a professional IT environment
* Experience supporting Line of Business Applications
* Experience in customer care, able to diagnose, impact assess and respond appropriately
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to translate issues reported by customers with a low level of digital literacy into a coherent IT support call
* Ability to liaise effectively with external customers
* Ability to translate technical jargon into easy to understand and clear terms
* Good communication skills
* Able to take on responsibility and good under pressure
* Able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
