We are seeking an experienced Account Assistant to join our team and growing business.
The main duties are to provide support to the Management Accountant to maintain accurate and timely financial records, including matching and coding invoices, preparing payment runs, reconciling supplier statements, balance sheet accounts, and bank statements.
Priority Tasks
1. Post Overhead invoices
2. Keep sales and purchase ledger tidy
3. Sales and purchase imports into the accounting system
4. Sales reporting
5. Bank reconciliation
6. Preparing and sending customer statements
7. Supplier statement reconciliation
8. Monitoring supplier credit limits
9. Prepare payment runs
10. Assistance with VAT as required
11. Post capital expenditure
12. Assisting the Management Accountant with reconciliations
13. Preparation of information and schedules for auditors
14. Adhoc projects as required
Person Specification
1. Minimum three years’ experience of working in a fast-paced environment
2. Be self-motivated and comfortable working in both an individual and a team environment
3. Be able to prioritise and manage own workload
4. An ability to work quickly and accurately with an eye for detail
5. Excellent Excel Skills
6. Knowledge of systems Xero and Autoflow advantageous
7. AAT Qualified or working towards
