My client is one of the foremost organisations in the business of injection moulding and blow moulding for the plastic packaging industry, offering innovative packaging solutions to multinational FMCG businesses across a variety of sectors including personal care, household, food and beverage, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
Responsibilities
1. To maintain all production equipment and machinery both electrically and mechanically.
2. To maintain and service plan and equipment both electrically and mechanically.
3. To carry out breakdown repairs to all plant equipment and machinery.
4. To carry out project work when assigned.
5. To request new and replacement parts when required.
6. Must work to a high degree of safety and cleanliness and must be able to work under own supervision.
7. To ensure that all documentation relating to any work carried out is filled in correctly and completed on time.
8. Must inform the Engineering and Servicing manager of any training requirements.
9. Must communicate and co-operate with other departments.
10. To maintain and implement the planned preventative maintenance schedule.
11. To ensure that all outside contractors are working to company rules.
12. To identify areas that can be improved and implement such improvements as agreed with the Engineering and Servicing manager.
13. Adhere to the company ISO standards.
Qualifications
1. Minimum of 4 years apprenticeship.
2. B/Tec Level 4 Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
3. City and Guilds part 232 part 1 and 2.
4. HNC Electrical Engineering (preferred).
5. Basic mechanical skills.
Work Experience
1. Minimum 5 years shift engineering experience.
2. Experience in injection moulding and high-speed assembly equipment.
3. Hydraulic and pneumatic techniques.
4. Welding techniques.
5. Fabricating techniques.
6. Multiskilling ability.

1. Good communication skills.
2. Reliable.
3. Ability to work to verbal and written instructions.
4. Methodical.
5. Ability to work safely and to consider welfare of others.

Additional Information
Based at our UK Factory in Mansfield, NG19 4 on a 4 off Continental shift pattern (days/nights).
