* Full time Behaviour Support Assistant required starting as soon as possible following the October half term
* Start on Monday 4th November 2024 ideally but flexibility to start the following week
* Pay ranging between £1700 - £1900 per month dependent upon experience and confirmed hours (likely 8:15am – 3:35m)
* Support at a medium to large sized secondary school situated just outside of the city centre
* Previous experience in a similar setting working with behaviour is essential
A co-educational secondary school situated in the city centre of Manchester is currently seeking to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant. This position will suit a confident, experienced individual who has suitable experience working with young adults exhibiting potential behavioural issues. The role will be working supporting a number of specific students but also chance to work with 1 student as a key worker.
Individuals who have fulfilled the role of a Learning Mentor, Behaviour Mentor or Learning Support Assistant would be ideally placed to fulfil this assistant’s position. This role would also suit an individual who has experience in a:
* Youth worker setting
* Behaviour centric position working with hard to reach, disengaged young adults
* Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) or inclusion centre
* Learning Support Assistant
* Care Support Worker
This school is a co-educational secondary school located just outside of the city centre of Manchester. The school has a reputation of being well run in the local area but given the diversity of students that attend, and specific student(s) identified, a behaviour support assistant is required to ensure school’s policies are adhered to.
The school require a Behaviour Support Assistant that can engage with his specific student on an individual basis ensuring that they remain engaged with school. In taking on this role, there will be an expectation to engage with the student and support with basic numeracy and literacy in addition to monitoring students’ behaviour in line with school policy.
