We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual with a strong project background to join this fast-paced team to deliver the more complex highways and technology schemes throughout their whole project lifecycle. Schemes range in value from £20k to £4m+ and include mechanical and electrical, street lighting, road markings, signs, fencing and barriers, drainage, safety schemes, environmental improvements, technology schemes, structures, remedial works and junction improvement schemes.
Role responsibilities:
1. Responsible for a number of projects at different stages of the project lifecycle
2. Within each project responsibility for:
1. End to end management of the project, to include scheme development and engagement through the life of the project with the asset team, designers, sub-consultants, construction team and contractors
2. Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to include but not limited to Planner, Construction Manager, Project QS, Asset and Designers.
3. Management of the P6 programme with the planning team, including identification of critical path activities
4. Commercial management of the project to include but not limited to cost plan, supply chain quotations, review and approval of invoices, forecasting, review of applications with the commercial team
5. Commission and manage internal and external resources in terms of quality, budget and programme.
6. Lead on Gateways and collaborative cost reviews with the Client and project team.
7. Adhere and apply the project governance procedure, including leading in presentations both virtual and in person with preparation of the supporting documentation to pass through project gateways
8. Routine reporting on project schedule / progress, risk and commercial status of the project internally and to the Client
9. Engage in the Collaborative M25 Community, including Balance Scorecards, forums and workshops as required.
10. Support the delivery of the business’ Sustainability activities and business plan objectives.

Working arrangements:
* Ability and willingness to travel to other offices for meetings on the network as and when required
* Periodic requirement for site visits (night shift H&S audit)
* Full Driving License
Qualifications/ skills:
* Project Management Experience preferably supported by recognised Project Management qualification, PRINCE2, APMP etc
* Preference of minimum degree qualification and membership of appropriate professional institution or working towards such qualification
* Broad skills, knowledge and understanding of Highway or Structures Engineering and associated design areas
* Knowledge of CDM and other H&S and Environmental legislation related to Highway Engineering
* Knowledge of the NEC (New Engineering Contract) and other relevant forms of contract

About Us:
CPS is a joint Venture project with Balfour Beatty, AtkinsRéalis, and Egis. We operate and maintain the M25.
The M25 is the busiest section of motorway in Europe and requires careful and efficient planning of work in order to deliver over £100m of annual investment in the highway infrastructure each year, in addition to planned and reactive maintenance activity.

Location:
This is a hybrid role designed to fully maximize team collaboration on the project. We expect a minimum of 3 days per week to be spent at CPS M25 offices, with one of those days based in Dartford.
