Job Description:
PPM Recruitment are recruiting for a Planning Assistant in the Grimsby area.
Duties:
* Undertake the validation of planning applications, including checking plans, forms and fees.
* Assist in the processing of minor and other planning applications from submission to recommendation, including conducting site visits, liaising with customers, and preparing accurate and concise reports.
* Respond to pre-application enquiries in a timely manner.
* Support the team in achieving contract performance targets.
* Provide excellent customer service to a wide variety of customers of the planning service.
* Undertake any other duties which may reasonably be expected at this level in supporting the delivery of the planning function.
Experience:
* Previous experience of working in an office environment, with front line customer services experience.
* Knowledge and understanding of office systems, routines, and processes.
* Knowledge and understanding of the required compliance with health and safety requirements.
* Experience and ability to effectively use IT including databases, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
* Knowledge of working in a planning environment is desirable.
