The role: As our Maintenance Assistant, you will assist in maintaining the site by undertaking a range of maintenance/grounds tasks under direction and supervision. Duties are likely to include undertaking all types of general repairs/renewal in maintenance related issues, painting and decorating, grounds maintenance such as grass cutting/clearing and planned maintenance works. The role requires emphasis on Health & Safety relevant to the premises ensuring that the building and grounds are fit for purpose for students and staff to enable them to fulfil their roles. Key Duties Duties to include (but not limited to)the following: A ssist in routine Maintenance work and new works in line with service needs and as required by your line manager. A ssist in all aspects of building and grounds Maintenance. A ssist in keeping all external areas tidy and free of litter in conjunction with the domestic team. A ssist in securing the buildings and site as required by your line manager. A ssist in maintaining equipment, ensuring that any defects are reported to your line manager and via the appropriate reporting systems. A ssist in general maintenance as appropriate and as directed by your line manager W ork in a manner that promotes the health and safety of all staff and students. General maintenance and grounds knowledge and experience. Experience and ability to use a range of tools and equipment to carry out routine maintenance tasks.
