About the Physical Activity Engagement Officer
As a Physical Activity Engagement Officer, you will provide specialist support to a number of projects to help ensure that the message of moving more can reach as many people as possible for positive behaviour change. You will need to be able to display:
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Experience of physical activity and/or community development.
* Knowledge of marketing and communications.
* Experience of community and stakeholder engagement and impact measurement.
* A strength in working with local groups and partners to promote activities and behaviours that help people to move more.
* An understanding and appreciation of how physical activity can help people and communities.
Working in close partnership with colleagues in the team, across the council and a host of statutory, community and voluntary groups, you will lend your expertise to programmes promoting physical activity, health, and wellbeing.
What you'll need
To join us, you'll need a mix of relevant qualifications with at least one being at level 4 or above, and extensive experience in community development and/or the sport and physical activity sector. With a flair for public engagement and partnership working, it is your talent for working with people that really sets you apart.
