This post is pending Royal College Approval.
This is a full-time (10 PA) replacement Consultant post working on a female acute inpatient ward (Beech Ward), based at Sherwood Oaks. This is a permanent post.
This post will primarily provide daily cover for inpatients on Beech Ward at Sherwood Oaks. Due to the recent reconfiguration of the Trust, the post holder will also have responsibility for patients admitted from out of the primary area, mostly from the Nottingham City area. These admissions are divided between other consultants on the unit with an established formula. The medical input to 70 inpatient beds is divided between 4 consultants, with a maximum of up to 9 patients under one consultant at any one time. The postholder will have clinical responsibility for the 17 female patients on the ward in an acute setting. They will provide senior medical input for their mental health, working closely with the multidisciplinary team and will have RC responsibility for those patients detained under the MHA.
