We have an exciting opportunity to join our team of Care Leaders at 220 Preston Road on a part time basis for 16 hours a week.
This is a service that provides support to adults with a learning disability, complex needs and challenging behaviours. If you have substantial experience of working in a care or support setting, a natural leader and someone who is passionate about looking after others, then this role is for you.
We are looking for those with a professional, energetic approach and most importantly displaying a caring, passionate and empathic approach. Someone who can manage a staff team on a shift and support the deputy manager and manager. You would be expected to work independently and use your own initiative.
As a frontline hands on care leader you will need to be able to lead a shift, oversee the day to day running of a responsive and innovative service and you will be expected to:
Rota manage a team effectively
Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults
Supervise/Mentor staff
Conduct supervisions, performance and probation reviews
Write and develop risk assessments
Facilitate best interest reviews
Oversee and monitor care and support plans
Ensure the homes policies and procedures meet the required CQC key lines of inquiries.
Complete records in relation to accident/incidents and complaints.
Ensure medication is administered as per policies and procedures and oversee stock control.
Lead by example
You will need to hold a Level 3 NVQ in health and social care or equivalent.
