Sales Manager – Player/Manager
Location: Remote with occasional trips to Basingstoke
Salary: Up to £50,000 + OTE
About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic Sales Manager (Player/Manager) to take a hands-on approach in leading a high-performing sales team while actively driving new business. This role is perfect for a sales leader with reseller experience who can combine strategic leadership with personal revenue generation, selling CSP, Infrastructure, Servers, and Storage into Data Centers.
As a Player/Manager, you’ll set the pace, develop sales strategies, and lead from the front, ensuring both individual and team success.
What You’ll Be Doing
✅ Leading & mentoring a team of Account Managers and SDRs to achieve and exceed targets
✅ Personally driving revenue, engaging in high-value sales activities
✅ Developing & implementing sales strategies aligned with business objectives
✅ Coaching & training the team to enhance performance and customer engagement
✅ Collaborating across departments (marketing, commercial, operations) to optimize sales efforts
✅ Utilising AI-driven sales tools to maximize efficiency and pipeline management
✅ Tracking & reporting on performance metrics to senior leadership
What We’re Looking For
Proven Player/Manager experience in a sales leadership role
Background in technology, distribution, or B2B sales, with a strong commercial mindset
Ability to drive individual and team sales performance in a fast-paced environment
Experience in coaching & mentoring sales teams
Strong negotiation & deal-closing skills
Familiarity with AI-driven sales technology is a plus
