Job Title: Jewellery Tutor (Variable Hours)

We are looking for an experienced Jewellery Tutor to teach a range of courses from beginner to advanced. You should have a strong working knowledge of both contemporary and traditional jewellery-making techniques. As a sessional tutor, you will join our pool of teaching staff and will be offered courses as and when they align with your area of expertise.
Hours for this role are variable and include daytime, evening, and weekend sessions. Part-time tutors collaborate closely with Programme Leaders in designing, planning, and delivering courses that challenge and engage learners. Tutors are also responsible for preparing a variety of learning materials, providing guidance to students on progression opportunities, attending termly meetings, and completing course administration. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to pitch new course ideas and contribute to shaping the jewellery provision.
Qualifications:
* Degree or equivalent in a subject relevant to the course to be delivered, or proven expertise in the leisure activity to be taught.
* A certified teaching qualification (if relevant).
* Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (or equivalent).
Skills and Knowledge:
* Extensive knowledge of contemporary and traditional jewellery-making techniques.
* Experience of delivering courses in jewellery or a related field.
* Ability to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that stretch and challenge learners.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
* Good organizational and time-management skills.
* Knowledge of current trends and industry standards within jewellery-making.
* Ability to provide constructive feedback and support students in achieving their goals.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with industry practices.
* Understanding of safeguarding policies and the ability to create a safe learning environment.
