ROLE: Marketing & Media Relations Coordinator - BVI Finance PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The Marketing and Media Relations Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and directing public relations activities for BVI Finance. The objective is to enhance awareness of the BVI’s financial services industry and promote its offerings. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, or a related field. Four (4) years of relevant experience. Ability to work effectively under pressure. Proven experience in public relations. Strong relationships with local and national business and industry media outlets. Demonstrated success in designing and executing public relations campaigns at both local and national levels. Proven track record of digital media execution and presence. WORKING CONDITIONS Normal office environment. Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure. Overseas travel may be required. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and email communication tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical and research abilities. Familiarity with media equipment and digital platforms. Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Knowledge of BVI Finance policies and procedures. Experience in the financial services industry is preferred. Respond to media inquiries promptly and appropriately, maintaining good working relationships with local and international media outlets. Assist in preparing press releases, editorials, and advertisements to ensure effective public relations efforts. Coordinate with overseas public relations and business communication firms to support promotional activities. Maintain online media resources. Monitor local and international media to track the portrayal of the BVI and its impact on public relations efforts. Attend relevant meetings, workshops, and training sessions to stay informed on policy and procedure changes. Assist in developing and managing media outreach programs to achieve company objectives. Serve as the primary media contact for BVI Finance Ltd. Oversee the direction, editing, and placement of BVI Finance’s video content and programming. Collaborate with external consultants to develop a media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media. Work with the senior management team to develop a communications plan for BVI Finance and provide recommendations on communication strategies in response to industry trends. Coordinate all public relations activities with support from senior management. Leverage existing media relationships and establish new contacts within business and industry media. Manage media inquiries and interview requests in consultation with senior management. Develop and update social media pages and digital marketing strategies. Monitor, analyze, and report PR results quarterly. Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness. Provide administrative support for the smooth execution of marketing activities, including drafting presentations, managing stock and merchandise orders, and ensuring the successful shipment of materials to and from events. Collaborate with the marketing team to continually improve promotional effectiveness and the industry’s exposure to international markets.
