A rapidly expanding Warrington-based charity, supporting people with learning disabilities, is seeking a Support Worker to assist learners with gardening activities such as growing fruit, flowers, and vegetables throughout the year.
The Support Worker will have the following skills and attributes:
* Experience in gardening and horticulture, gained from work-related activities or personal interests and hobbies.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly.
* Hold a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or higher.
* Previous experience working with adults with learning disabilities or in a care setting.
* Familiarity with safeguarding, assessing risks, and health and safety guidelines.
You will work on-site between 9.00am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, and as required on evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Appointment will be subject to DBS clearance, right to work checks, and satisfactory references.
