We’re looking for an HR Advisor to join their team for a 12-month period, providing expert guidance and hands-on support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This is an opportunity to make a real impact—enhancing the colleague experience, supporting People Managers, and ensuring HR processes run smoothly and effectively. In this role, you’ll be involved in everything from employee relations and absence management to recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning. You’ll be a trusted partner for managers, offering practical HR solutions while ensuring compliance and best practice. Responsibilities Include: Employee Relations Provide structured guidance to People Managers on investigations, ensuring fact-finding and risk mitigation are at the forefront. Support redundancy cases in the absence of the HR Business Partner. Track and report on key ER metrics, including absence, attrition, and casework, providing insights that drive informed decision-making. Work closely with managers, SHEQ, and Payroll to provide a smooth and supportive experience for expectant mothers. Absence Management Partner with People Managers to manage long-term sickness cases, advising on return-to-work strategies. Oversee Occupational Health partnerships, ensuring best practices are followed and risks are addressed. Conduct monthly absence reviews with People Managers, identifying trends and ensuring proactive support for employees. Additional HR Support Provide cover for the HR Coordinator, including issuing new starter packs for management colleagues. Support HR meetings by offering note-taking assistance when operational teams require additional resources. Mentor the HR Coordinator on lower-level casework, particularly short-term sickness cases. About you You’re an experienced and proactive HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. With a solid understanding of HR processes and best practices, you have a keen eye for detail and a solutions-focused approach. Your ability to build strong relationships with People Managers allows you to provide clear, structured guidance on employee relations and absence management. You’ll have experience handling ER casework, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and working collaboratively across departments to ensure a seamless HR experience for employees. Analytical skills will be key, as you’ll be responsible for reporting on key HR metrics, spotting trends, and advising on improvements. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, work autonomously, and maintain confidentiality is essential. You’re confident in your communication skills, whether you’re advising managers, delivering sensitive information, or supporting the wider HR team with administrative tasks. CIPD Level 3 or above (or equivalent experience) is preferred, along with prior experience in an HR advisory or generalist role. Don't meet every single requirement?
