To support their international customer base in marine, power generation, industrial, and offshore applications, they seek a Technologist in Edinburgh.
This role requires technical expertise in chemistry and spectroscopy, as well as comfort with data analysis and customer interactions.
Main Responsibilities
* To develop new sensor applications for lubricants and fluids.
* To conduct experiments on systems and third-party sensors in a laboratory setting.
* To utilize proprietary software to create chemometric models and optimize current sensor models.
* To contribute to product roadmap development with application-driven improvements.
Your Profile
* Experience in Mid-Infrared spectroscopy and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) is essential.
* Proficiency in chemometrics is required.
* Familiarity with handling chemicals, fluids, and oils in a laboratory setting is necessary.
* A good understanding of lubricants and infrared sensors or systems is advantageous.
* Passion for business growth and customer satisfaction is expected.
