Our client is currently looking for Warehouse Operatives to strengthen their team based at their distribution depot in Enfield.
You should have current Warehouse experience in a similar role, be aware of Health and Safety in a warehouse environment. Also, you should be physically fit as heavy lifting will be involved as part of your regular duties. We are looking for committed, energetic, team players seeking ongoing work.
As a Warehouse Operative you will need:

* PPE – Safety footwear, high-vis vest and face mask/covering
Duties and responsibilities:
* Must to beable to use handheld scanning equipment
* To handle parcels within the specified parcel definition, either manually or mechanically as directed by the Sort Controller, in line with company operating procedures.
* To use the available equipment to complete security checks.
* To ensure that available equipment is in full working order and report any faults if required.
* To complete and check consignment notes accurately where appropriate.
* To monitor and prevent damage to goods. To inform a supervisor where damage is identified.
* Where trained to use "man-riders" to assist in loading and unloading of parcels.
* To monitor and prevent damage to vehicles and machinery. To inform Sort Controller where damage is identified.
* To monitor progress of Priority Traffic (meaning time critical deliveries). To inform a Sort Controller where there is any doubt about meeting the service criteria.
* To implement the Health and Safety policy, ensuring and maintaining a safe working environment.
* To implement the Security Policy ensuring and maintaining a secure passage of goods for the customer.
* Where appropriate and trained perform data entry, scanning and re-labelling of parcels.
* Carry out such other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Hub Management or supervisor.
* Carry out Hub cleaning duties as required on a scheduled basis.
Key Measures of Performance
1. Timely handling of parcels.
2. Low levels of loss through damage/loss. Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Hours & Salary:
Nights – 10pm – finish
Hourly rate £13, increasing to £13.70 after 12 weeks completed.
