What's involved with this role: Temporary Pay & Condition’s Administrator Job Ref: Gloucestershire 5257165 Pay Rate: Up to £14.17 per hour PAYE depending on experience Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours Role Length: This opening assignment is for 6 months City: Gloucester, Gloucestershire This post will require full NPPV (Non Police Personnel) Level 2 security clearance in order for probation to be passed and a permanent job offer confirmed. The role will involve processing payroll payments, dealing with pay queries via our ContactUs helpline and providing guidance on employment terms & conditions. Key Responsibilities: Support the service undertaking a range of administrative activities in the day-to-day operation of the Service. Create records on the Payroll System for new starters, leavers and variations and to maintain and revise employee as necessary, liaising with relevant department or organisations as appropriate. Process data for the adjustment of details that affect pay and statutory deductions. Undertake any bulk administration duties as required. Check reports and prepare corrective action as directed. Ensure that paperwork is completed and checked correctly for Audit purposes. Ensure that all documents are stored correctly and in a timely manner. Act as a first point of contact for Payroll, responding to correspondence, telephone, electronic mail and queries from customers. Qualifications: Minimum of 4 GCSE’s including Maths and English. Skills & Experience: Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation. Must have a strong end to end payroll background in a large employer. Excellent organisational skills to allow you to prioritise workloads and ensure our service levels are maintained. Relevant administrative payroll experience and a good understanding and knowledge of payroll processes to ensure compliance regarding the regulations. Knowledge of terms and conditions of employment and statutory legislation. Ability to develop knowledge and experience of HR and Payroll transactional processes and procedures. Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
