Responsibilities:
* Assist children in school with speech and language sessions
* Support students with speech and language difficulties in the classroom
* Implement individualised therapy plans under the guidance of therapists
* Record and maintain accurate progress notes and reports
* Collaborate with teachers and parents to support students' communication development
Minimum Requirements:
* Relevant qualification in speech and language therapy assistance
* Experience working with children or young adults with speech and language difficulties
* Understanding of speech and language disorders
* Ability to implement therapy plans effectively
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Organisational skills and attention to detail
Desirable Qualifications:
* Additional certifications in speech and language therapy assistance
* Experience working in an educational setting
This role involves working in educational settings, collaborating with therapists, teachers, and parents. The assistant may need to adapt to different classroom environments and student needs. The job may require occasional travel within the region.
