Moulsham High School is a larger than average 11-18 comprehensive school where all students 'flourish academically' (Ofsted 2024). The learning environment is 'cordial' (Ofsted 2024), and students and staff enjoy a high level of mutual respect.
We are looking for a dedicated Deputy Headteacher who is passionate about providing all students with the best possible life chances they can have. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years senior leadership experience and a substantial track record of academic success. Our Progress 8 has been well above national average for the last 8 years. In 2024 it was in the top 9% of all schools nationally. A level results consistently score ALPS 3 or higher. This role is pivotal to the school's continued success and includes responsibility for: curriculum provision; the quality of teaching, learning and assessment; academic outcomes and quality assurance.
This vacancy has arisen due the current postholder taking up a new leadership challenge in Cambridgeshire in September 2025 and is a fantastic platform for Headship. The successful candidate will join a senior leadership team of 9 who are all committed to driving the school forward to 'beyond outstanding.' We firmly believe that the best is yet to come.
