Building Physics Engineer

A respected engineering consultancy is seeking a passionate and skilled Building Physics Engineer to join their team. If you are dedicated to improving energy efficiency and creating high-performance buildings, this role is for you!
What You’ll Do:
Conduct dynamic thermal modelling, energy assessments, and simulations for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
Provide expert advice on building performance, including energy use, thermal comfort, natural ventilation, and daylight analysis.
Work alongside architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, and sustainability consultants to deliver low-carbon, sustainable design solutions.
Support the design of buildings that meet and exceed energy efficiency regulations and sustainability certifications (e.g., BREEAM, Passivhaus).
Engage with clients, attend site visits, and collaborate with contractors to ensure project delivery aligns with design goals.What We’re Looking For:
A degree in Building Physics, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in energy modelling software (e.g. IES or DesignBuilder).
A solid understanding of building regulations, energy efficiency standards, and sustainability frameworks.
Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to solve complex building performance challenges.
Passion for sustainable design and creating energy-efficient buildings.
