The park stands in the impressive North Yorkshire National Parks and hosts 130 seasonal and 70 touring pitches along with 2 holiday cottages and a luxury holiday home. Caravan and motorhome owners can enjoy luxury facilities and tranquil views across the coast, which we are so blessed to call home.
Job Vacancy: Cleaner and Evening Warden Duties
At Sandfield House Farm, we are looking for an active, enthusiastic, honest, and reliable individual to join the team for the 2025 season. To start in February 2025, you will need a good level of fitness and be able to work using your own initiative and in assisting the Park Manager and the rest of the team in successfully running the park to open for March 2025. You will require your own professional Caravan/Motorhome to live onsite but will have access to all the onsite facilities.
This is a seasonal position (March-November). Due to the ever-changing nature of the tourism sector at Sandfield House Farm, changes to working hours, practice, and policy can suddenly happen. The role is suited to those who enjoy a structured routine but are also able to stand in for others or step up at busier times.
Working hours will be dependent on the successful applicant. You will be required to work across the week, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning of facilities - Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness inside and outside of buildings, toilets, and shower blocks. Cleaning the 2 onsite holiday cottages on changeover days, one of which is dog-friendly. Reporting any issues to management.
2. Evening Warden duties: To welcome any late arrivals after 1700-2100 in the evening. Deal with any customer queries or issues that may arise. Arrivals/departures - To greet and assist customers, show people to pitches, answer customer queries. Check shower blocks and replenish where necessary and sweep out.
3. Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job and participate in appropriate training and development activities.
4. Comply with the Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality HR policies and procedures as set out by the Company and in line with your current responsibilities.
To be successful you will need to possess the following:
1. Your own professionally fitted touring accommodation, whether that be a Motorhome or Caravan. We allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs.
2. Be a people person.
3. A desire to provide at all times the highest levels of customer service and have some experience of working with customers and resolving customer issues.
4. A determination to achieve the highest standards of cleanliness. This is key for the role.
5. A practical hands-on approach and be able to use initiative without instruction.
6. Self-motivation but also the ability to work as part of a team.
7. Be prepared to work flexibly across the week.
8. A current UK driving licence.
