Our Banbridge based Client have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer, to join their Off-Site MEP and Plantroom Assembly Team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will oversee the assembly and integration of mechanical systems within prefabricated MEP modules and plantrooms. This role ensures the proper installation, testing, and quality control of mechanical components, including pipework, pumps, heat exchangers, and associated equipment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the assembly of mechanical systems within MEP modules and plantrooms. Provide technical guidance to the assembly team. Ensure the correct alignment, placement, and installation of mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems in plantrooms. Conduct inspections of mechanical components during and after assembly. Perform dimensional checks, verify proper alignment, and inspect the placement of mechanical components in both MEP modules and plantrooms. Inspect materials and components, ensuring that all mechanical systems meet quality and project specifications. Use FieldView or other inspection tools to document inspection results and log any issues or discrepancies. Assist with testing and validation of mechanical systems. Complete pre-commissioning checks. Prepare test reports. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in MEP systems and plantroom design or modular construction. Hands-on experience with the assembly and installation of mechanical systems such as piping, pumps, heat exchangers, and HVAC components in both plantrooms and MEP modules. Full UK Driving License Desirable Criteria: Relevant professional certifications in mechanical engineering (e.g., HVAC systems, piping, plantroom equipment).
