Cento seeks a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer to lead the design and construction of mechanical HVAC systems from concept to commissioning. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers to join our team and work on high-profile projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed system specifications, prepare construction drawings, and documentation, including plant and equipment schedules for mechanical HVAC systems.
* Manage technical submissions, RFI communication with project managers, and coordinate the work of subcontractors to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
* Manage contract costs from inception to final account, including preparing and agreeing on monthly applications for payments.
* Monitor project costs, labour, and material expenditures, forecasts, and profit and loss statements.
* Manage variations and additional works, along with their associated costs.
* Conduct site visits and inspections, attend client and subcontractor meetings to ensure project alignment and address issues.
Qualifications:
* HND / HNC or preferably a Bachelor's degree in HVAC mechanical engineering or a related field involving physics and thermodynamics.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in the design and construction of mechanical HVAC systems.
* Strong understanding of HVAC principles and practices.
* Experience with AutoCAD and building information modelling (BIM) software is desirable.
About the Role:
