Closing Date for Application: Saturday 11/01/2025 The role: To ensure all products within the Polypipe Building Services portfolio are digitally measured to support BIM/Revit modelling and Product Evaluations. Key Responsibilities: Champion and coordinate specific QA processes/activities within Department whilst ensuring a culture of continuous improvement. Processes/activities Scanning/Measuring Arm Conduct and coordinate defined Reverse Engineering evaluations to agreed specification within agreed timescales, evaluations to include: Physical Measurement of product; using Measuring Arm and other equipment as required Weigh each scanned complete product and individual subcomponents to assist with ensuring actual product weights are accurate across all product information platforms Physical tests (Production tests) Manage evaluations and ensure thorough documentation, evaluations to include: Review of product drawings against standard, creation, and maintenance of evaluation reports Physical Measurement of product; using Measuring Arm, CMM, and Optical Measuring Machines where practicable Fit to mating parts Liaise with other departments and/or direct team to ensure effective prioritising of workload. Organise/coordinate samples selection for Reverse Engineering and Product Evaluation programme. Working alongside other departments where applicable Document completed Digital measuring and product evaluations, publish as required, and liaise with relevant departments Provide guidance on digital measurement for product related matters Quality Assurance production support for shop floor quality control Skills and experience required: Able to learn to use Measuring Arm (Programmer Level), CMM and Optical Measuring Machines (Minimum Operator level) - training will be provided. Good computer skills - Microsoft 365 and IFS Strong communication skills - a team player with the ability to plan and coordinate with supporting teams where applicable in order to realise objectives Ability to analyse processes, find and implement improvements including the design and documentation of new systems as well as training of operatives in new working methods Ability to read and interpret product drawings and accurately record results.
