An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager to join the Capital team at Wolverhampton University. The role is a 12 Month Fixed Term, full-time Contract, you will be based at our City campus but will be required to work across all of the University's estate.
You will have responsibility for working with us on our Estates master plan, planning and programming all activities that will be required as a result of our ambition to shrink our physical estate. This will include department moves, office moves, faculty relocations, subject relocations, refurbishment, and new developments across the estate.
You will have been involved in the programming of multiple projects previously ensuring all details, interdependencies, and associated impacts are captured. You will need to be abreast of all statutory and legal requirements for projects to ensure any requirements are captured and completion of any activities assured.
You would be joining an existing team within the Capital Project Management department of the Estates and Facilities Directorate.
Main working hours are 37 hours over 5 days, 52 weeks a year; however, as with the whole department, a flexible approach is required.

You will have vast experience in programming projects and managing delivery within the agreed timelines, identifying potential risks and proposals to reduce and/or remove them.
You will work well under pressure, be a team player within the department, and have excellent communication skills to support the work that you will need to do with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will work as part of the wider estates team while also working independently, focusing on multiple projects across the estate.
A driving licence is essential, and you must demonstrate excellent knowledge of best practice Fire Safety and Health and Safety in the workplace.
