This role is also the international marketing lead for our exciting Oxford Children's list, working with sales colleagues and new distribution partners to promote the list and drive revenue through trade channels for our award-winning portfolio of children's books. It provides the post holder with the opportunity to work across a range of products, collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders, and develop an understanding of different sales channels and customer types across multiple regions. The post holder will develop, manage and implement marketing strategy in order to increase brand awareness, sales revenue and market share via specific sales channels. A typical day might include speaking to a distributor in South America on Teams about support they need to promote our resources, writing an email to international publishers about new picture books available for licensing, delivering a presentation at a sales conference, updating the website, briefing a designer on a brochure and adapting digital content for use on a partner's social media. No one day is ever the same We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office. Please note: This is a 6 month FTC About You You will be a creative, customer-focused individual who learns quickly and has the ability to understand and respond to market need, driving the continual development of our marketing strategy globally. The successful candidate will have: Essential: Strategic marketing experience at Marketing Manager, Assistant Marketing Manager or Marketing Executive level working across all channels Stakeholder management skills Excellent interpersonal, communication and team working skills that foster a collaborative team environment Experience of managing a budget Ability to prioritise a heavy workload and competing priorities Good presentation skills Creative problem-solving skills and an innovative approach Experience of managing projects Desirable: Publishing or marketing qualifications (e.g. CIM) Knowledge of international markets Knowledge of and experience in the publishing sector A willingness to undertake occasional travel Benefits We care about work/life balance here at OUP.
