We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo) to join our team in Prescot on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the provision for students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the support required to achieve their educational goals. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and lead the SEN provision within the school Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies for students with SEN Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students' needs Provide guidance and training to staff on SEN best practices Monitor and report on the progress and development of students with SEN Ensure compliance with SEN legislation and school policies Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a SENDCo qualification Previous experience working as a SENDCo or in a similar role Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and best practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently Strong organisational and time-management skills Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience Flexible working hours to suit your schedule Opportunities for professional development and training Supportive and collaborative working environment If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs and meet the requirements listed above, we would love to hear from you.
