An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwife to develop and lead a community midwifery team in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.
The post holder will be working alongside 4 other team leaders to provide leadership within a community midwifery team.
You will be supported to develop and enhance your skills whilst working collaboratively with the wider leadership team.
Main duties of the job
The Community Team Leader /Midwife has continuing 24 hour responsibility for the management of the community midwifery team including assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting of standards.
The Community Team Leader/Midwife will facilitate innovative and evidence based nursing/midwifery practice through professional leadership and supporting the clinical team.
The Community Team Leader/Midwife will act as a credible and professional role model and encourage and empower other staff to develop both personally and professionally and achieve their maximum potential.
The Community Team Leader/Midwife will liaise with all members of the multidisciplinary team and facilitate a collaborative approach to patient care. The Community Team Leader/Midwife will report directly to the Matron.
Participate in the on call rota for homebirth and escalation purposes.

Qualifications
* Current NMC registration
* RM with a degree in midwifery
* NIPE Qualification
* Mentorship qualification or equivalent
* PROMPT trainer
* Recent experience taking charge of a ward/ community setting
* Ability to work flexibly
