Overview
The Legal Aid and Administrative Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office by providing comprehensive administrative support. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and be highly organised, with the ability to analyse information and implement effective administrative processes.
Duties
* Provide exceptional customer service to clients and colleagues, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
* Liaising with clients in person and by telephone in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm’s standards for client care.
* Processing legal aid applications, liaising with clients to complete information, advising clients as to the process and limits and maintaining applications on the electronic platform.
* Uploading police station, Magistrates’ court and Crown court legal aid bills to the relevant portal.
* Keeping up to date records of legal aid queries, applications and further enquiries.
* Dealing with client enquiries.
* Reception duties.
* Ensure the confidentiality of all the firm’s and client’s documentation and information.
* Contributing to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
* Contributing to maintaining and improving office procedures.
* Ensuring compliance with Equality and Diversity Policy.
* Any other duties which are from time to time required by the firm.
