We are looking to appoint a Project Manager in South Yorkshire for our client, a manufacturer with a large design team for their own product ranges!
It would be a major advantage if you have worked for a business that takes concept designs through to manufacture and you understand the processes involved. Our client is a leader in their field and has been going through a period of significant growth. It is important you have managed large project portfolios in the past and understand the pressures that come with handling multi-million-pound contracts for a demanding client bank.
You must have strong commercial skills and enough knowledge of mechanical engineering to be able to manage the customers' expectations and ensure their bespoke needs are met. The company offers a fantastic environment, competitive salary, and flexible working.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
1. Manage the teams and project activities to ensure compliance with quality systems and standards.
2. Manage multiple projects from cradle to grave.
3. Responsible for cost, quality, design, production, and delivery.
4. Be the main point of contact for the customer.
5. Ensure the customer's bespoke requirements are met at all stages of the process.
6. Ensure that appropriate project management tools are adopted and used to communicate project plans and progress effectively across the whole organisation and to the customer.
Your Skills and Abilities:
1. Sound knowledge and understanding of project management techniques (PRINCE 2 advantageous).
2. Must have worked with a manufacturer that designs their own product.
3. Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve results.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to summarise complex issues effectively to people at all levels in the organisation.
5. Experience of hands-on project management.
