An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and suitably qualified person to join our service as a Speech & Language Therapy (SLT) Office Co-ordinator for Adult SLT at MYTT. The role will involve delivering and overseeing our admin processes and working with quality and audit projects.
We offer a high-quality service for our patients who have swallow and communication difficulties and would like someone to join our team who can support the delivery of our service and keep patient experience at the centre of what they do.
We are a busy department and a team of innovative and friendly Speech and Language Therapists, Assistants and Admin colleagues. The post holder will have access to training, which includes in-service training and regular supervision from the Team Lead. You will provide line management duties for our band 2 admin colleagues and work closely with the SLT Technical Instructors who also provide a small element of office support.
We have regular business admin meetings and staff meetings, ensuring all colleagues across the service areas can contribute to updates and improvements.

Prospective candidates are welcome to make contact or visit - c.finn@nhs.net., To fulfil the role, you will have the necessary skills to complete patient appointment booking processes, manage incoming referrals to support triage processes, update clinical systems such as PPM+ and S1, complete orders for resources and oversee deliveries to site, deal with patients, carers, referrers, GP's and other health and social care professionals on the phone, manage the SLT inbox, plus any other general requests and enquiries.
The post holder will oversee and complete regular 18 week wait audits and other service audits to support our routine processes with a view to review and improve. The post holder will work closely with the other admin colleagues, together sharing daily duties and communicating closely regarding priorities and tasks for the day; and planning for the work and priorities ahead.
The post holder will provide supervision and line management duties for the admin colleagues. They will ensure admin related audits and quality processes are reviewed and embedded. They will ensure information is shared with the Team Lead and relevant clinical colleagues and provide information for clinical governance meetings, as required. The post holder will work closely with the clinical leads to enable us to meet our clinical priorities which brings excellent opportunities for service development work.
The post holder will be based at our Bar Lane office near Pinderfields Hospital and occasionally will be required to work from our Dewsbury & District Hospital office.
