Introduction
The Partner Development Manager is responsible for driving business development with key established digital agencies and system integrator partners on a regional basis. This role is a primary partner-facing resource focused on developing and nurturing strategic partnerships. Recruiting new partners is also a key task for this position. As an integral part of our regional sales team, the Partner Development Manager plays a critical role in expanding Optimizely's delivery partnerships in the region. This position involves driving new license revenue through partner relationships via partner-sourced and co-sell models. The Partner Development Manager will ensure that managed partners meet sales and technical enablement requirements in alignment with the Optimizely Partner Program. The role requires collaborating with partners to identify and nurture leads to achieve individual quarterly and annual sales targets.
Job Responsibilities
1. Partnership Development and Execution: Coordinate technical enablement for partner developers. Plan and conduct partner sales enablement and education. Develop joint solution and go-to-market plans. Oversee solution and capability development. Recruit new partners, provide training, build joint pipelines, and execute new projects. Maintain relevant CRM data related to partners, leads, and opportunities.
2. Revenue Generation: Drive partner-led bookings. Source leads through partners. Influence bookings through partner relationships.
3. Relationship Management: Facilitate executive mapping and relationship management. Oversee regional seller mapping and support. Conduct quarterly business reviews.
4. Co-Marketing and Demand Generation: Leverage the Global Marketing Plan and resources. Collaborate with Partner Marketing on PR, case studies, and events.
Knowledge and Experience
5. At least 5 years of experience in partner management or sales, with established connections in customer experience management (CXM), e-commerce, content management systems (CMS), or experimentation technologies.
6. Proven track record working with digital agencies, system integrators, or design/UX partners within the digital marketing technology sector.
7. Strong understanding of partner ecosystems and established relationships with leading system integrators and/or digital agencies.
8. Proficiency in developing business plans and presenting to medium-sized audiences.
9. Primarily a sales background, but a solid understanding of technical aspects is highly valued.
