The Headteacher and Governors of Lark Hill Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and conscientious person to undertake the role of School Caretaker. Applicants must be reliable and resourceful, calm and conscientious and able to interact in a professional manner with children, parents, staff, visitors and contractors.
The successful candidate will ensure that the school is well maintained, safe and secure and have DIY skills and an awareness of dealing effectively with health and safety issues.
We are looking for someone with a good range of skills including building and grounds maintenance, general DIY, security and cleaning.
You will be able to communicate effectively with a range of people including children, staff, parents, visitors and contractors and have an awareness of health and safety issues.
You will be approachable, well-motivated and be able to work on your own initiative and willing to open/close school for lettings in the evening when required. Typical hours are 6am to 6pm but occasionally, including for 6 governor meetings a year, it will be necessary to stay later.
