We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Band 3 Nursing Assistant to join our Endoscopy department at Newham University Hospital.
The post also carries stock responsibilities and general duties within the Endoscopy ,Decontamination and Urology Department.
The unit at NUH will be open Monday to Friday 8-6
You will supervise and teach junior members of staff and learners as required, and maintain own personal development with support.
You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a large team, but also capable of planning your own work.

• Applicants should preferably have at least 6 months experience in decontamination/ sterile services background, and demonstrate a basic knowledge of endoscopy. However training and support will be provided to non experienced applicants .
• Assist the registered nurse to provide nursing care for endoscopy patients.
• Demonstrate the department / directorate philosophy of care.
• Respect patient confidentiality
• Work under the supervision of the registered nurse with continuing responsibility for the department which will include the decontamination area, procedure rooms, recovery and admission area.
• Work as part of the endoscopy Team.
