Senior Software Engineer
6 month contract plus extensions
£67.02 per hour (Inside IR35)

Their mission is to deliver advanced capabilities in areas such as missile defense, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and cyber security. Currently seeking 2 x Senior Software Engineers.
The role holder will undertake some or all of the following tasks :-
Software design, code, simulation, test, and integration.
Design verification using a combination of simulation, analysis, and test techniques.
Generate design documentation and technical reports.
Interfacing with related disciplines.
Assist the development of higher level system designs.
Assist the development of technical requirement specifications Support system integration activities
Knowledge:
Have considerable experience of using at least one high level programming language Knowledge and experience of C and C++ required.
Knolwedge of both Linux and Windows O/S.
Knowledge of VxWorks is desirable.
Have considerable experience of using a high level design methodology (e.g. UML)
Have experience of all aspects of a software lifecycle and good knowledge of software lifecycle models (e.g. Waterfall, Agile)
Have good knowledge of appropriate software standards (e.g. ISO/IEC/IEE 12207)
Have a comprehensive understanding of configuration management and experience of a configuration management tool.
Knowledge of ClearCase would be desirable.
An understanding of model based techniques is desirable.
Due to the nature of this role you will need to have excellent team skills, be self-motivated, fast-learning and have the ability to prioritise and manage your own work with minimal guidance.
